FLORIDA WHITES
	A new endevor has entered the rabbit barn with breeding Florida whites.  I wanted to get another breed to help me with working on my registras liscense.  The Florida offered the normal coat, still compact type, but with a more meaty and  hard built body.  Doesn't eat anymore than a mini rex, has a good temperment, and boy how they can have the litters.  It also offered my husband the opportunity for more bbq rabbit and rabbit salad.  I must say they have grown on me and have populated the barn.  I'am finding out that with litters of 6-9 with no peanuts, it doesn't take long to  have a bunch. They grown faster than the mini rex and are able to be shown at a much earlier age. An added bonus is being able to condition a doe to put back on the table after having kits. The ones I have shown have done well and are as competative in  4 class as the mini rex. I would love to see more exhibitors in this breed as numbers here in ohio are kind of low.  If you are intersted in them, please contact me and I'll do my best to set you up with some or with other breeders around the region.  They are a great exhibition rabbit or 4-H /FFA project. They take up little space, feed, and you only have to worry about one color!
